Royal Botanic Gardens Annual Report

32 page A4 publication of the 2020-2021 annual report for the Royal Botanic Gardens.

This publication design had a specific aim of being incredibly formal while communicating the nature and plant aspect of the gardens. Therefore, a soft green was the focal colour paired with a simple black, block font. Integrating photography from the botanical gardens to be used in break pages was an elegant way to showcase the beauty of the gardens and remind readers of the subject of the report.

Watercolour painting were created and put into abstract shapes to be featured on spreads so that the large volume of text was not boring or overwhelming. This was an incredible project as it was a challenge to balance the large amount of information, while creating something that was both formal and beautiful.
